Composite decking in Newcastle and Tyneside
From Heaton back yards and Gosforth semis to hillside gardens in Gateshead and the coast at Tynemouth and South Shields.
Ground notes
What we plan for in Newcastle and Tyneside
Back lanes and terraces
Plenty of Tyneside terraces only have a back gate onto the lane. We plan deliveries and a frame that goes together in a tight yard.
Hills south of the river
Gardens in Low Fell, Whickham and Ryton often drop away steeply. A raised frame with good steps turns the slope into somewhere to sit.
The coast
Whitley Bay, Tynemouth and South Shields get the wind and the salt. We choose fixings and balustrades to suit and place the deck where it's sheltered.
Typical gardens
The decks we're asked for most
-
Back-yard deck
Lifts a concrete yard behind a terrace into somewhere you actually want to sit.
-
Hillside deck
A level platform on a sloping Gateshead garden, with steps down.
-
Seaside deck
Light boards and a sturdy balustrade for a coastal garden.

Things people ask us
Do you cover Gateshead and South Tyneside?
Yes, including Low Fell, Whickham, Jarrow, Hebburn and South Shields.
Can you build in a back yard with no side access?
Usually. We plan the delivery through the back lane or the house and size the materials so they fit.
